Southern Barramundi

The first trial of BiobiN ® within the aquaculture industry has been conducted at the Southern Barramundi site at Kangarilla in South Australia. Over a 3 month period ending in May 2005, the BiobiN ® collected approximately 2.5 tonnes of mortalities. Using a carbon source of milled chip within the unit, there was no resultant odour and the output from the bin for windrow composting was very high quality, already well advanced.

Coles Melbourne

The latest innovation in the BiobiN development is being trialled in Melbourne with a front lift bin in situ at a Coles supermarket. If successful, future introductions will see a more cost effective service system for capturing recoverable organic material.
